The Women in Semiconductor Track at SEMICON India 2026 celebrates the women engineers, leaders, innovators, and changemakers powering India’s semiconductor journey and shaping the silicon decade.

 Bringing together industry leaders, engineers, researchers, entrepreneurs, emerging professionals, and students, the track creates a platform for meaningful dialogue, knowledge exchange, mentorship, and collaboration across India’s rapidly growing semiconductor ecosystem. The programme is built around three themes, Prabha, Prerna and Prajna, representing clarity, motivation and wisdom. Together, they reflect the leadership, knowledge and connections needed to enable more women to build, grow and lead in the semiconductor industry.

Through leadership conversations, technical discussions, role plays, networking and mentoring, participants will gain insights from accomplished industry leaders, expand their professional networks and explore opportunities to advance their careers across semiconductor engineering, technology and manufacturing.

Prabha brings together accomplished women leaders to share their journeys, experiences and lessons from building careers in the semiconductor sector.

Through the Leadership Journey: Lessons from Women Leaders in Semiconductor session, participants will hear first-hand perspectives on leadership, career progression, navigating challenges and creating impact in a rapidly evolving industry.

These conversations are designed to make leadership journeys more visible and give the next generation of women professional's access to the experiences and insights of those who have helped shape the industry.

Building deeper technical careers. Creating pathways to leadership.

Prajna focuses on the opportunities, choices and challenges women encounter while building careers across engineering, R&D and semiconductor manufacturing. Dedicated panel discussions will explore:

• Women in the Technical Ladder & R&D - building long term technical careers, developing deep expertise and advancing through technical leadership pathways.
• Women in Manufacturing - experiences, opportunities and pathways for women across semiconductor manufacturing and operations.

The conversations will bring together industry perspectives on how women can build sustained careers, deepen their technical capabilities and take on increasingly influential roles across the semiconductor value chain.

Prerna focusses on mentorship, professional networks and the practical experiences that help women navigate and grow within the workplace.

The programme will include role-play sessions based on workplace success scenarios, creating an engaging environment to explore real professional situations, communication and career challenges.

At the heart of Prerna is a focussed speed mentoring experience, connecting women engineers, early-career professionals and students with accomplished senior women leaders from across the semiconductor ecosystem. Participants will have the opportunity to engage mentors in short, focused conversations around areas such as career guidance, professional and soft skills, learning and development, building confidence, work-life balance and leadership. Participants will be able to review mentor profiles in advance and register for focused mentoring interactions, creating an opportunity to ask specific questions and receive guidance relevant to their career journey.
