Mr. Abhishek Sud

Abhishek Sud has invested in Deeptech, Semiconductors and Enterprise B2B companies  for nearly two decades across venture capital and growth equity. At Applied Ventures, he leads growth equity and software/systems investments across the materials-to-systems stack, and drives investments in India that are strategic to the Company. His focus spans AI/ML/GenAI, deep tech, vertical and infrastructure software, cybersecurity, semiconductors, supply chain, and tech-enabled services, built on long-standing relationships with VC and PE firms and CXOs across the US, Europe, India, and Southeast Asia.

He has backed companies through more than 25 exits, including IPOs at Rubrik, Samsara, FleetMatics, and Quantenna, and M&A exits including Acquia, Heap Analytics, PerimeterX, Punchh, StreamSets, and Workfront. Other investments include Netskope, Vectra AI, Stripe, and Phenom People. He has served on numerous private and public boards and their audit, compensation, governance, and M&A committees.

Previously he was a Managing Director at Macquarie Group and AllianceBernstein, with earlier roles at Rothschild, Centerview, and Investcorp. He began his career at IBM Consulting in India before joining Morgan Stanley's technology banking group in Menlo Park.

He holds a BE in Computer Engineering from the University of Delhi (where he was a gold medalist) and an MBA from IIM Ahmedabad. Outside work he's a reader, traveler, hiker, golfer, Formula 1 fan, and supporter of the Indian cricket team.”
