Mr. Rajesh Kumar Bahl

Mr. R. K. Bahl, Former Group Director, Quantum Technology Group, SAC/ISRO, holds a Master’s in Physics and M.Tech in Microwave Electronics from Delhi University. He joined Space Applications Centre, ISRO, in 1986 and contributed to solid-state power amplifiers, high-frequency PHEMT amplifiers, and MMIC-based power amplifiers for INSAT, GSAT, and IRNSS payloads. Since 2011, he has led developments in Free Space Optical Communication and Quantum Technologies. His expertise includes satellite-based quantum communication, laser and quantum communication technologies, microwave photonics, and Rb atomic clocks. He contributed to India’s first 300-metre free-space secure QKD demonstration and indigenous Rb atomic clock development.
