Dr. Chitranjan Singh

Dr. Chitranjan Singh is a semiconductor technology and business leader with over two decades of experience developing advanced wireless and computing technologies for global markets. He spent 10years at Qualcomm in San Diego, where he architected the world's first industry leading software-defined LTE modem for smartphones and led the development of six generations of modem chips including the first5G smartphone modem. Technologies developed under his leadership were deployed in more than 4 billion devices worldwide, contributing approximately $300 billion in Qualcomm revenue and achieving about 80%global LTE modem market share. His contributions were reognized with Qualcomm's Super Qualstar Hall of Fame award.
Dr. Singh is the Founder and CTO of Ananant Systems, building advanced indigenous semiconductor platforms for wireless infrastructure, AI and edge compute. His expertise spans 5G/6G wireless, modemand DSP architecture, AI compute, heterogeneous computing, and hardware–software co-optimization, witha strong focus on performance, power and cost at the system level. He is passionate about building globally competitive fabless semiconductor product companies from India that can create foundational technologies for critical communication and compute infrastructure. Ananant Systems is building semiconductor platforms targeting significant improvements in performance-per-watt-per-rupee for infrastructure and edge AI applications. Dr. Singh holds a Ph.D. and M.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Texas at Dallas, with research focused on efficient wireless baseband and MIMO signal-processing architectures, and a B.Tech. in Electrical Engineering from IIT Kanpur.
