A thought leader with three decades of global experience in executive roles building strategies and leading development of high growth R&D organizations in countries like US, Mexico and India. As part of the strategic eco-system engagements, JC assists Govt agencies, Industry bodies and Academia in attracting investments and building partnerships for technology advancement. As India Country Head for GlobalFoundries, JC is responsible for leading strategic direction for GF's overall India growth, strengthening eco-system connects with Govt/ Academia/ Industry/ community, people development, view into business opportunities and ensuring flawless operations in India. In addition to India Country Head role, JC has an expanded responsibility as GM of ‘Global FAB Engineering Services’ (GFES) organization with a charter to expand GF’s Fab capabilities in India, Malaysia & other countries to complement GF’s global reach, operational excellence, and standardization. Prior to GF, JC was at Intel for 27 years at multiple international locations (US, India, Mexico) in leadership roles where he developed and ramped two critical R&D sites as operations head, held strategic position in Intel’s CIO office, and served as the country manager for Intel’s supply chain organization in India. JC has been instrumental in forging multiple tech eco-system building initiatives – leading the formation of India’s first hardware start-up incubator thru MakerLab program, navigating IESA (India Electronics and Semiconductor Association) towards strategic growth as a past chairman and being the founding member of India’s first fabless start-up initiative called SFAL (Semiconductor Fabless Accelerator Lab).
