Som Pal Choudhury is a Partner at Bharat Innovation Fund, a Pre Series-A/Series-A fund focused on creating Deeptech and IP driven startups out of India. Board Member of PlayShifu.com and FireCompass.com. Board Member of US India Science & Technology Endowment Fund (USISTEF), Advisor to startups, co-founded India's Deeptech/Frontiertech ecosystem building thinktank, TiE Matrix Forum and chairs India's top conference, Global MatrixSummit. Commitee member of MeiTY (Ministry of Electronics and IT) Design Linked Initiative (DLI) grant scheme for funding semiconductor startups.

Previously, Som was the Managing Director of Analog Devices India, wholly owned subsidiary of $12B global semiconductor company headquartered in Boston, and was based for almost 2 decades in Silicon Valley in various roles: Global Product Management and Marketing Director at NETGEAR, first employee of an early M2M/IoT startup in the energy management/Smart grid space and held several management and engineering roles at Cadence Design Systems. 

He was a board member and executive council member of Industry Body, IESA (India Electronics & Semi Association) in 2016-18, and is an Advisor to International Software Product Management Association (ISPMA) India chapter. He is a MBA from Wharton, University of Pennsylvania, and an engineering graduate from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur and North Carolina State University. He also co-authored chapters in two books "New Kind of Computational Biology" and "New Kind of Machine Learning - Cellular Automata Model" published by Springer.
