Brejesh Chalill

Brejesh B Chalill is a seasoned financial market professional with over 25 years of experience in treasury and banking. Currently serving as Executive Vice President and Head of Treasury Market Sales at Axis Bank, he leads a team of over 200 professionals across various segments including Corporate Sales, FIG Sales, SME Trade & FX, and Branch Banking FX. He also oversees the Structuring and FX Execution Desks and plays a key role in Axis Bank’s digital transformation through its “NEO” initiative. Brejesh began his career at ANZ Grindlays and later spent nearly two decades at Standard Chartered Bank, where he held multiple leadership roles in financial markets, specializing in FX, derivatives, and structured deals. He is known for his strong client relationships, innovative sales strategies, and thought leadership, including initiatives like Axis Treasury Market Talks and the Treasury Sailing Regatta. Academically, he holds degrees from the University of Mumbai, a doctorate from SPJIMR, and has completed a program at Harvard Business School. Outside of banking, he is the founder of Seench, a non-profit focused on literacy and numeracy for the underprivileged.
