Synopsis:

The SEMICON India Workforce Development Session, titled "Smart Workforce Development," will take place on September 12, 2024, from 10:00 am to 11:20 am, led by SEMI-ELCINA in collaboration with ESSCI.

This session aims to provide a comprehensive overview of the current landscape, challenges, and opportunities in semiconductor workforce development in India, gathering insights from industry leaders, educators, and government officials. Participants will review and adapt successful global workforce development and DEI initiatives to the Indian context and explore potential partnerships with local educational institutions, government agencies, and NGOs.

The session seeks to enhance the visibility of ESSCI-SEMI initiatives, integrate semiconductor manufacturing content into curriculums, and schedule a specialized training sessions on semiconductor industry safety and chip design. Targeted at industry stakeholders, government leaders, academia, and students, the session includes a keynote address, program overview, panel discussion, and concluding remarks to foster alignment and innovation in workforce development for India's semiconductor sector.
